Food-induced anaphylaxis in children up to 3-years-old – preliminary study

Introduction and objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the frequency food-induced anaphylaxis, analyze symptoms, triggering factors in a group youngest children. Also, aims estimate anaphylaxis episodes children Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship region.Methods: Retrospective analysis medical records 29 aged 0–3 years that presented symptoms anaphylaxis. Medical charts were reviewed using collection documents with clinical data.Results: determined be 0.3% all hospitalized 1.9% suspected food allergy. mean age an anaphylactic reaction 12±9 months. most common symptom mild-moderate urticaria. respiratory significantly more prevalent toddlers than infants (p = 0.148). Cardiac occurred only infant group, i.e., two (11%) infants. As possible cause 18 (62%) cases, parents often indicated consumption milk or milk-rice porridge.
